History
EPC4ROI, LP was founded in 2005 with a product invention called Tag Rover. This was a pallet moving vehicle accessory that allows RFID tags to be read as orders are being picked in a warehouse. Although major suppliers and distributors found this concept appealing, it would have required that all cases in a warehouse be RFID tagged. Since this was not the situation then and not even today, EPC4ROI used its RFID expertise to develop Mountain Pass products for the ski and valet parking industries. Mountain Pass Systems, LLC was founded in October of 2009.
The Management Team
Hal Charych, Founder and CEO
Founder of Mountain Pass Systems, LLC and inventor of many Mountain Pass products. Hal has over 30 years of product engineering leadership experience with companies like Control Data Corp, NCR, Micom-Interlan, Megadata, plus 14 years at Symbol Technologies, now part of Motorola, as Sr. Program Director in the scanner and RFID divisions. He architected and developed Motorola’s MC9000 RFID hand held. Most recently he was Senior Vice President of Engineering and Operations at Global Payment and Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Innotech Systems. He holds over 30 patents in scanning, computing, and RFID technology.
Michael O’Haire – Vice President of Engineering
Mike has over 25 years of experience with bar code systems, RFID and other automated data capture solutions having worked at Motorola Solutions as Software Director in the Advanced Development Group. He has many accomplishments including creating the software used in Motorola’s MC9000RFID, it most popular RFID product. Mike has over 10 patents with many more pending.
